1Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Linea ("Linea," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Linea application and website (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Linea, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you enter about yourself or others is information you are permitted to record and use. If you record health information about a family member or someone in your care, you are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate authority or consent to do so.

3What Linea is

Linea is a privacy-first personal and family health coordinator. It helps you gather, organize, and understand your own health information and your family health history in one place. Depending on the features you choose, Linea may let you:

• Record personal and family health details, conditions, medications, lab results, immunizations, procedures, surgeries, appointments, and notes;
• Import your own health records from connected sources such as a patient health record portal (for example, MyChart) when you authorize that connection;
• View summaries, suggested patterns across your family history, and topics you may wish to discuss with your healthcare provider.

Linea is an informational and organizational tool. It exists to help you walk into a healthcare appointment better informed — not to replace any part of your care.

4Not medical advice

Linea does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified healthcare professional. Any patterns, summaries, priorities, or other output generated by the Service are for educational and informational purposes only. They are generated by automated logic applied to the information you enter and are not a clinical assessment.

Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified health provider with any questions you have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read or saw in Linea. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency number immediately.

5No professional relationship

Use of the Service does not create a doctor–patient, provider–patient, or any other professional relationship between you and Linea. Linea is not a healthcare provider, is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA, and does not practice medicine.

6Your data & on-device storage

Linea is designed to be private by default. The health information you enter is stored locally on your own device (for example, using your browser's local storage). By default, that information is not transmitted to us or to any third party.

Because your data lives on your device, you are responsible for safeguarding it and for keeping your own backups. Clearing your browser data, switching devices or browsers, losing your device, or uninstalling the Service may permanently erase your information. Linea cannot recover data that is stored only on your device. We strongly encourage you to use any export or backup feature provided in the Service.

If you choose to enable any optional feature that sends data off your device — such as cloud sync or AI-assisted insights, where and when such features are offered — that feature will be clearly identified and will require your action to turn on. Our handling of any such data is described in our Privacy Policy.

7Connecting your health records

Linea may let you connect to a third-party patient health record system (such as your provider's MyChart account through Epic) to import your own records. When you initiate such a connection, you authorize that system to share your records with Linea on your device, and you authorize Linea to retrieve and display them for you.

You may disconnect or revoke this access at any time through the third-party system's own settings. Linea does not control those systems, the accuracy or completeness of the records they hold, or their availability, and is not responsible for them. The records you import are subject to the terms and privacy practices of the system that provides them.

8Third-party services

The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, networks, and infrastructure (for example, hosting providers and health-record networks). We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, performance, or practices. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that party's own terms and privacy policy.

9Accuracy & your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into or import into Linea. Automated import and any on-device text extraction may be incomplete or incorrect; you should review and correct imported information before relying on it. Linea is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information, however it came to be in the Service.

10Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others;
• Enter or import information about another person without the right or consent to do so;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' data, or any connected system;
• Interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, or attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the Service;
• Use the Service to provide medical advice to others or hold it out as a medical device.

11Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, design, logos, text, and software, is owned by Linea and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks, branding, or proprietary materials. The health information you enter remains yours; we claim no ownership of it.

12Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. You use the Service at your own risk.

13Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Linea and its owners, contributors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of profits, or harm arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us to use the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50.

14Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Linea and its owners, contributors, and licensors from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of any third party.

15Changes to the service & Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or any feature of it, at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may be communicated through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

17Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Washington will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
